Watched “A Star Is Born” last night and it truly reignited my fire to write more music. Not just to be a singer, but to be an artist with something to say. I’ve always written music, but life can sometimes get filled up & quite honestly it’s easy to get lazy and feel like your voice/ message isn’t worth hearing... as many writers, I’ve struggled with fear, comparison, & heavy writers block that can be crumpling to a creative mind. my heart & mind have been reopened.
I’ve posted this cover before, but it reminds me to allow myself to be raw and honest with lyrics, not trying to squeeze into some perfect “pop” category, but into a “human” category. Shout out to @デミ・ロヴァート for this beautiful song. I aspire for my lyrics and message to resonate with others the way this song & that movie have for me.
