October is confusing.

For the last 4 years, I've headed back to South Africa mid October to be with @arjandekock and help with the grape packing season in Namibia. That normally entails a really sudden transition from climbing full time to working long days in the packhouse for two months. Kind of like the sudden shift from fall to winter, and now to 110 degrees in Namibia. I'm so lucky to be able to climb full time, and then have 2 fast paced months to challenge my brain in a new setting. I'm thankful for all of it, except the heat. I'm really never thankful for the heat. But the heat makes me thankful for airconditioners and the prospect of returning to the snow and climbing connies in 2019. Season mashup, let's go!
