Today, hundreds of honours recipients came to Buckingham Palace to receive their insignia from The Princess Royal at an Investiture ceremony.

First ? : Mrs Margaret Guest received The Queen's Gallantry Medal posthumously on behalf of her husband, Richard Guest, who died whilst saving two teenage girls after a rip current had dragged them out to sea off the coast of Tywyn in Wales.

Second ?: Jazz trombonist Dennis Rollins speaks to The Princess Royal during his Investiture ceremony in the ballroom at Buckingham Palace. Today he received an MBE for services to music.

Third ?: Businesswoman Sharmadean Reid proudly displays the MBE insignia for services to the nail and beauty industry which she received from The Princess Royal at Buckingham Palace earlier today.
