The caravan of some 2,000 people, the second of its size in 2018, began last week in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, with plans to march north through Guatemala and Mexico in hopes of reaching the United States, the Associated Press reports. Some hitched rides while others walked, the AP adds, as the eagerness of some to make quick progress clashed with the need to remain together as a group for safety.
