I have been on the road working and I just came home from the airport to find this beautiful award from #thetellyawards acknowledging a very special film #behindthemovement and my performance as #rosaparks What an honor it was to be part of this film, to step into the legendary shoes of a woman who changed the world. I know the cast, crew, studio and network were at times challenged to make such an important film so quickly. I know we had hoped that more people would have seen it when it was released, but this award is testament that #behindthemovent is finding its audience and will have a reach beyond what we imagined. A day doesn’t go by that someone doesn’t reach out to me about how this film has touched them and inspired them. If you still haven’t seen it, please do. The actors that I was beyond fortunate to work with, give phenomenal performances and the whole crew should be proud of their work.
