H O M E C O M I N G. Before I posted my story, I was extremely scared and anxious. After I posted it, I felt empowered and encouraged. And now, I’m just angry. I’m angry, because I’ve received so many messages from women who endured the same pain. And there’s a similar thread in their story that makes me so mad... after reporting the assault, police officers did not take them seriously. I’m heading to SF in 3 days to be with my brother and we all head down to LA together for the wedding. While in SF, I’m meeting with former San Francisco Police Commissioner to understand the role and process of law enforcement when it comes to this particular issue. I’m also heading to DC in December to meet with Congress members to discuss policy and legislation on this matter. Thank you for trusting me with your story.
