The Sanjūsangen-dō temple behind me is a Buddhist temple housing one thousand life-size statues of the Senju Kannon. Seeing them all lined up was very powerful and I highly recommended stopping here during a visit to Kyoto. There are no photos allowed inside, and when you visit, it’s easy to understand why.
