So proud of my fellow Try Guys for hosting the #streamys. ?❤️?? The opening number’s music and lyrics were by Keith, while I handled choreography. A very personal admission: hosting is not something I particularly enjoy - it makes me anxious and uncomfortable - but I love performing and wanted to undeniably represent the LGBTQ community by returning to drag with the blessing of my drag family and friends. We packed so many sleepless hours filming, editing, rehearsing, recording, etc. into the weeks leading up to the show that by airtime we were all beyond exhausted - I was even dancing through a leg injury which is why my lip sync was so terrible ? (y’all know I’m better than that). Regardless, it was the support and tireless work of Keith, Zach, Ned, and our team that inspired me and pulled me through the night and I love them all for allowing me to express myself in new, important ways. Next time I’m fortunate enough to perform in drag you know I’ll be giving it 110%. ?️‍?
