I’ve been vegan for 31 years, so for #worldveganday here’s; Why I’m a vegan, in simple list form:

1-i love animals. And animal agriculture results in the suffering and death of over 100 Billion animals every year.

2-animal agriculture is the 2nd leading cause of #climatechange

3-animal agriculture causes 90% of rainforest deforestation.

4-animal agriculture causes 75% of antibiotic resistance.

5-animal agriculture causes AT LEAST 50% of heart disease cases

6-animal agriculture causes AT LEAST 50% of diabetes cases

7-animal agriculture causes AT LEAST 50% of most cancers

8-animal agriculture uses AT LEAST 50% of our water reserves

There’s more, but simply; animal agriculture not only leads to the suffering and death of animals, it is
also leading to the suffering and death of humans.
Using animals for food is the single dumbest, cruelest, and most self-destructive thing that we
as a species are doing.
