Recently I‘ve seen a mother who disciplined her already adult child in front of me. I can‘t express how bad that felt! It was so inappropriate, out of place and wrong! The adult child -of course- obeyed the mother, who felt immediate self-validation while literally and repeatedly destroyed her own child in the eyes of others, like me.
