I’ve been in Senegal this week with @gatesfoundation, learning about how investment in women impacts communities in a sustainable way. I’ve just seen first hand how supporting women has a huge knock on effect to everyone in their communities. Appropriately, I packed this t-shirt from @birdsonglondon, who fairly employ women to make their clothes, in conjunction with women’s groups and charities. £5 from the sale of an embroidered t-shirt like this one goes to Mona, a mother and sewing teacher to low income families in Tower Hamlets, providing a sustainable income above the London living wage.
