Assisi, minutes after he was rescued from a certain death by yours truly. I kept him there Like a Kangaroo to warm him up. Minutes before, @johnmac_bjwt posted a video of some beautiful Lion Cubs following their mother with a caption that more or less said that if that didn’t brighten up your day, he didn’t know what would. So in a classic “Hold My Beer” moment, I sent him this pic of my Warrior fighting for his life. I haven’t seen such bravery in a living being like what I saw in Assisi that morning. A Lion is a Lion is a Lion, regardless of its size. St Francis of Assisi, Patron of Animals, worked its Magic that day for sure. I’ve seen increíble stuff through my life, but that image of Assisi roaring between two huge Lionesses in a cold Monday morning was really something incredible. You won’t believe the rest of the story so I’ll leave it at that...
