A few years back, during an afternoon walk in Crown Heights, we stumbled upon a beautiful little space on Dean Street in BK. ☀️ Drawn to the gorgeous interiors, we poked in & introduced ourselves to the TWIN sisters setting up the soon-to-open “lifestyle bar”. ?‍♀️ We immediately hit it off with the sisters — and this week’s FRIENDS FOR 10 — Myriam & Marva Babel. They’re the entrepreneurs behind @odetobabel, ? a bar and marketplace with which the sisters are seeking to preserve the Afrocentric, bohemian salons of the central Brooklyn they grew up in. ? With a shared love of good food and drink and bringing people together, we fell in love with Myriam and Marva and soon hosted a #CreativeWomensDinner together in their exquisites space. ?‍?‍?‍? We have such appreciation for these 2: multi-tasking small business owners, moms, and creatives giving back to the neighborhood they reside in. ?
