Thanks @jonsetzen for nominating me. Animal House is a problematic film, to be sure, but it has moments of such lovely academic satire sprinkled amongst the misogyny and fear of black sexuality - chief among them Donald Sutherland’s meltdown while teaching Paradise Lost. Huge influence on my timing and what I’ve found funny in the ensuing years.
