1️⃣ This is not optimum for grey clients.
2️⃣ ONLY use Demi color (NEVER PERMANENT) when root Smudging. Otherwise when you lift in the future you will end up more many lines of demarcation!
3️⃣ You can smudge just a tiny bit or a lot! It’s up to you on how “rooty” of a look you want!
4️⃣ Never root smudge darker then your clients natural level. This will also cause lines of demarcation.
5️⃣ Choose a color that matches their natural level AND tone (most people are Naturals or Natural Ash)
6️⃣ Apply at the bowl after you have shampooed out all lightener and before you conditioner. I usually apply the smudge and then apply my toner (aka. Glaze) with a bottle over the rest of the hair and brush it all together! This helps you avoid any spotting and gives you a seamless blend! ✨
