I started making t-shirts long before #Obey was even a concept. As soon as I got into punk rock as a teenager, I was inspired not just by the music but by the culture and the DIY nature of the whole scene with the zines, pins, flyers, and t-shirts. I made many hand-done Sid Vicious, G.B.H, or Metallica shirts created with Sharpies, stencils, or primitive screen printing. The Obey Clothing line was a natural progression of my inclination to apply my “art should be everywhere” philosophy to one of my favorite mediums… the t-shirt. While @obeyclothing has evolved throughout the years it still maintains its original ethos and now has a worldwide fanbase. Many of my longtime fans are now raising their own generation of rebels and miscreants, and we’re excited to have a limited line for the Obey Youth Crew. We’ve seen and done our own bootleg Obey kids products throughout the years, but now we are officially addressing the future and dressing the future leaders! - Shepard
