i think it’s really important to love yourself, love your friends and love where you came from. i love the internet and there’s so much funny good shit happening on it but it’s so toxic sometimes too. Instagram isn’t REAL LIFE. It’s just another video game where we’re all competing for likes. I play along with it too. Sometimes it feels like validation and sometimes it makes me feel like I’m not good enough. It’s stupid and it’s addictive and one second I love it and one second I hate it. I have to remind myself sometimes when social media makes me feel sad that it DOESNT MATTER and that we’re all gonna die soon anyways and the only people who will be by your side when that happens are your IRL friends; the kids you grew up with, the friends you made when you moved away from home, your family, the people you gave true, genuine love and emotion to. Sorry this post is a little preachy and honestly it’s all been said a million times before but I woke up thinking about this shit today. If u ever feel sad about social media just know you’re special and cool and funny and beautiful no matter how many likes/followers you get. That’s the real shit. ?
