#tbt to my ski racing days! Everyone in the world of “sliding real fast on snow” is preparing for the upcoming season right now. .

Part of me is lost without the structure and purpose that ski racing gave me. Part of me is very happy to be done with wearing spandex and sitting in single digit weather waiting to risk my health for a hundredth of a second.

One thing I know for sure is that having a disability can feel really limiting but the most freeing feeling in the world is sitting on top of a mountain with a 360 degree view of a whole mountain range. I’ll never forget the Italian alps...That’s where I did my best praying and felt most connected to my brother and God. For that, I’m eternally grateful.

I was super excited to wake up to an email from @thehartford announcing their new partnership with @disabledsportsusa to provide sports equipment and grants to 20 of its local chapters! This is going to change lives! The program will also assist individual members of DSUSA’s Elite Team – the young kids who are a pipeline for U.S. Paralympics – by providing adaptive equipment and scholarships... Amazing!
