Aldyr Garcia Schlee has died, aged 83. In 1953, Schlee won a contest organised by the Correio da Manhã newspaper, to replace the white and blue #Brazil shirt worn in the 1950 Maracanazo. His idea: the now iconic yellow and green shirt, blue shorts and white socks, as worn here by the legendary Pele.
