“The most important tool in your camera bag is your voice, which is why #BDTeam traveled to Semporna — a town on the island of Borneo in the Malaysian state of Sabah — to give a voice to those who don’t have one.
We spent two weeks on the island studying marine conservation, and some of the things we learned were shocking. The world's oceans are being destroyed. Ecosystems that have taken thousands of years to grow have been devastated by fish-bombing, coral bleaching, and overfishing — this cannot continue. Humanity is dependent on the vibrancy of these sacred waters, and by using our voices, we can inspire positive action."
