Since I’m at moms house I have access to all the crates of good old throwback pics! Don’t mind me as I flood your timeline this fine thanksgiving day morning! This was from 1991- during the Miss Teen USA pageant. Next to me is the winner- Bridgette Wilson who was super adorable and cool as Miss Oregon. She went on to become a successful actress and married tennis star Pete Sampras. Another notable girl in our same year was the famous Dorito girl- Ali Landry who was miss teen Louisianna! We had quite the year and the pageant was held in Biloxi, Mississippi where we only got called the N- word 2-3 times. Yeah—- the ignorance was alive and kicking. All my luggage went to Hawaii and I had to make due. I was quite the stressed out 17 year old. Oh well what doesn’t break us- makes us stronger!
