Mental Health Update: It’s been a minute since I last talked about where I’m at in this journey we call life. It took awhile but I’ve finally found the support and help that I needed. Although I resisted medication for a long time, felt it was giving up just as much as suicide was for me...except I had to live with what I thought was a prison of the pharmaceutical industry. What I didn’t understand is there’s a big difference between giving up and giving in. Once I gave in and decided to get help instead of wrestling with myself, I realized that’s the only way I can heal and recover. If I’m beating myself up, that’s a fight I can’t win. I’m starting to see the ocean of emotions through the unpredictable waves that sometimes I can ride and others that crash down on me. Now I have the courage to paddle back out. I hope this gives hope to some folks out there. ? ?‍♀️ ☯️
