When I was a teenager I read a great book called #touchtheearth in it I learned about how indigionous Americans have always honored Mother Earth. I respected and adopted many of the ideas I learned in this beautiful book. I wanted to write something about that when I came across this beautifully written post and beautiful page illustrating the magic and wonder of our beautiful planet which tops my lists of of things I’m Thankful for on this day ..so to all the gardeners those who love and protect our beautiful Mother I’m thankful for you! Thankful for this beautiful land we live upon. Thankful for those who have so knowledgeably tended it for thousands of years. Thankful for rain today, to wash the smoke away and dampen the earth. Hopeful that we can support good people doing good work, such as these people, who are bringing native knowledge and realtime presence to the land we stand upon here in the Bay Area. May all beings have shelter, nourishment and a place to be whole.
