The color my skin has always been questioned by those who lack knowledge towards the human race. I’ve always known that I was black man but never felt adequate to those around me. I grew up in the Bronx New York, attending a school of 500+ minorities and me being considered the only student who was white. It was clear to me that I wasn’t caucasian not only knowing my parents were of the African descent bur I also noticed my features. The texture of my skin down the thickness of my lips and curly hair. There are many black men around the world who struggle with these so called features because in society they were told they were ugly to have such physical attributes. Down to the width of their nose to the darkest shade of skin. I have always loved being me and I would have never wanted to change it for the world and as a black man I hope that others before me can feel the same. When I look in the mirror all I see is gold. My face all the way to the tone of my voice screams a black man. I am happy to be apart of my friend @_aligiance exhibition titled #BLACKkings because I believe that it is important to let a Black King know that he to is worthy and that all of the extra things that make him up are a complete luxury. We scream for crowns and gold when it’s been on your body all this time. Now walk like you know it’s never coming off because royalty never washes away. ✊?✊?✊?✊?✊?
