I looked through a few thousand pics to find the right one of me and @jonathanrknight for his birthday. I wanted to find a pic that reflected how special a friend and brother this man is to me. I’ve posted so many meaningful pics of the two of us on IG already, that it was hard to find a new one. But this one? This one spoke to me today.
I’ve never even seen this picture before but, somehow, this one says so much. Especially, because it’s reversed — As it should be! The high flying energy guy, who’s usually out front, is in the background. While the rock solid, hard working, lunch pail guy, is in the foreground. Where he belongs! All those times you felt like I was the “rock”, standing by your side — I hope you know it was you who was the rock! Courageouly standing up, and always standing strong, in every single way. Including standing by my side. Encouraging me. Believing in me. Letting me fly. Your faith and trust in me is one of the greatest gifts of my life. I can’t do what I do without you, nor would I ever want to do what I do without you. I’m blessed to have a friend/brother/partner/band mate in you @jonathanrknight! I love you!
