This incredible boy means more to me than I can describe. This time last year I thought he definitely wouldn’t make it to Christmas and I am so thankful for the extra time we’ve gotten with him. This extra year with him has been a gift: of being more present with him, focusing on making him more of a priority and stopping to remember just how much we’ve lived through together. We’ve shared 8 homes together in 15 years, plenty of heartbreak as well as full hearts, rough spots and silver linings and so many beautiful memories and quiet looks. This week I’ve seen him fade more and it’s been bittersweet. The reminder than our time together isn’t infinite but that my love for him is. As sad as it is to see our friends, human and furry, fade, it’s also a reminder of how lucky we’ve been to have them in our lives for any amount of time. ♥️ #acatnamedturk
