For centuries now, we have let other people and society dictate the story of who we are.
That we are the nail girl.
That we are the nerdy best friend who loves math.
That we are the kung fu dragon lady.
That we are oversexualized objects.
But we know who we are. Deep in our hearts, we know that we aren’t and never could be limited to one box of stereotyped images and predetermined personality traits. We are as spectacular, insightful and full of joy and life as they come. The breadth of what we have to say and who we are is as multifaceted as the different nations we come from. We are undefinable.
It’s time to tell the world who we are.
