The Metropolitan Museum of Art's new exhibition focuses on a the purpose and the power of jewelry. "Jewelry: The Body Transformed" explores the unique relationship between the body and these accessories on a social or personal level through extraordinary pieces coming from all over the world.
Displaying headdresses, ear ornaments, brooches, belts, necklaces and rings created between 2600 BCE and today, it shows over 230 objects presenting how various cultures envision jewelry.
Among these are some #SchiaparelliHauteCouture pieces such as the 1937 metal collar/necklace that was gifted to The Met by Ms Millicent Rogers.
