I am ill, But I’m gonna be OK ??? I have written and deleted this post so many times and didn’t know what photo to put it with, really debating on weather or not to let you all in on what’s happening with my health.
So... here goes...
Three months ago I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. It’s a life long Autoimmune Disease that makes your body attack itself and causes the Large Intestine to bleed from ulcers and in my case, many many... many ulcers. It’s NOT a pretty disease but then again what is ?
My doctors and I have been on the hunt to try and find the right medication to help put me into remission, the first one I tried landed me in the ER for 4 days over Halloween with pancreatitis, the most insane pain I have ever felt!
?? I lost 10lbs and since then it’s hard to eat because I don’t have an appetite and I’m exhausted from not sleeping and all the bleeding ?
The heavy dose of steroids they put me on are not working so I’m getting ready to start the next medication once my insurance figures it out. I’m nervous but hopeful this one will finally help ???? I have been trying lots of holistic approaches as well in the meantime along with meditating and de-stressing my life and cutting back on work. I’m currently following the Anti-inflammatory diet, plus intermittent fasting, taking tons of Turmeric and probiotics.
I’m so thankful I have a great team of doctors helping me and a wonderful support system from my Amazing Husband Ben, My Family and Friends so I have faith things will be better soon! .
