Photo by @FransLanting | There are fewer than fifty cheetahs in Kenya’s Maasai Mara Reserve and they cause traffic jams whenever they show themselves. Cars create problems for cheetahs when they cause so much commotion that it disrupts their hunting. But this cheetah was actually using the cover provided by a cluster of minivans to sneak up on a group of gazelles. This individual may have gained a momentary boost from tourists, but overall the balance between cheetahs and people in this renowned wildlife reserve is unfortunately skewed towards tourism at the expense of cheetah survival.
