it’s a romantic and generous way to celebrate activism.
The history of St Barbara
and the cherry blossoms.
According to an ancient tradition,
on St. Barbara`s Day, December, cherry branches are given away and put into water the same day.
If the branch blossoms on Christmas,
it means happiness and joy for the following year, particularly in love.
This romantic tradition goes back to the legend of St. Barbara, who was persecuted because of her faith.
As she tried to flee,
a cherry branch got caught up in her dress.
She affectionately took care of the branch which 20 days later, on Christmas Eve, began to blossom, giving St. Barbara hope and happiness.‎ Being here reminds me-
