Photo by @jonathan_irish // I had so much fun exploring Channel Islands NP, and there are so many good memories I could share. We kayaked through caves along Santa Cruz Island, hiked over Anacapa and Santa Cruz, had an awesome time camping and watching the island foxes, and generally had a relaxing and fun time exploring this little California slice of heaven. However, for me, the thing that stands out the most was this insane sunset. It was without a doubt one of the most glorious sunsets we saw on our entire national parks project. Our jaws were dropping as we watched it unfold. If you ever make it to Santa Cruz Island, head to Cavern Point (just up the hill from the Scorpion campsite) for a sunset you won’t soon forget.
