TAG LIPTON. Would you put plastic over a seal’s mouth so he can’t breath? Would you choke a dolphin who wanted your help? Would you feed a whale garbage because you are lazy and don’t care about him?Would you strangle your own dog with a six pack ring? THINK ABOUT THE PLANET BEFORE YOU TAKE A PLASTIC WATER BOTTLE, PLEASE! Out and about in Melbourne today, near the NGV and saw @lipton was handing out, not just samples of their Matcha tea but THESE GIGANTIC BOTTLES. Everyone who walked up got one, not just a sample cup. You didn’t even have to ask, they just handed them out.
What’s eerie is they hand it to you with no label... ?So, they want to advertise their brand but they know people will leave these huge bottles laying around and they don’t want you to associate @lipton with litter. ? To forgo free advertising because you know you are deliberately being wasteful and don’t want to look like you’re part of the problem makes you complicit ?‍♀️ I was shocked how flagrant this wastefulness was. This is shameful and irresponsible.
We are beyond calling someone annoying for caring about the planet. Single use plastic, while at times unavoidable, is killing our planet and the animals on it. These bottles will end up in the water, on the streets and in the bellies of our animals. We have to think before we use. #lipton #plastic #litter #liptontea
