TBT to the time I met Red Skelton in ‘96. He was kind, generous, and needless to say, incredibly funny. We were pen pals for a minute, and I wish I could find his letters. He credited himself for inventing “Featuring” on marquees when they couldn’t use letters big enough to spell his name to satisfy the rider in his contract. He was an enormous contributor to entertainment for decades, and a real gentleman. (That’s his wife next to him.)
