Creek abstract, last winter in Kentucky. A year ago I said goodbye to my first dog. In Jake’s last week, I spent most mornings and evenings at one of his favorite spots, the creek on my family’s land. One thing I love about photography is looking back at photos and being reminded of the feel of a place at a certain time. This photo is a good example of that for me — a dizzying but beautiful mix of light and dark. •
