So... someone fat shamed me today. It was just a few comments, but I was having a crummy day and I shocked myself at how it effected my confidence. And what’s crazy is, I actually started to question if I did gain weight, or if I “looked” fat today. That really bummed me out. Coz why would that matter anyways?
I understand that in the Asian society people like girls stick-thin, but I really hope to promote both self-love and healthy living. It’s not okay to ever comment on someone’s weight or looks, because even someone like ME, a girl who has trouble finding XS’s to fit her petite body can be called fat, AND feel fat afterwards? That is extremely alarming. I really hope every girl feels beautiful.
So I guess what I’m trying to say is, let’s all be KIND to each other, and not care so much about people’s LOOKS and encourage each other positively with love and care!
Now excuse me, my abs and I are going to dinner.
