Both awesome and terrifying. Today we drove to wine country and arrived to find a cicada hatching of epic proportion. It is so loud that it’s painful to be outside without ear protection. It’s astonishing that tiny creatures can create this noise. Yet, in the middle of that cacophony, we see 15 wild kangaroos from a few yards away and watch them eat while the sun sets. A special and crazy afternoon.
