I will always be a girl who carries a fountain pen and notebook in my satchel. There is something about words, genuine ones, that transcend the layers into my deep. And because of this, when life gets too hectic or noisy, the one thing that can almost always ground me back into myself is opening up my journal, feeling the tactile poetry of a nib releasing ink across the pages, where antiquity and modernity are friends for a moment, and somewhere in there my heart breathes freely again.
