Sweet, sweet, girl....Maddie’s pathology report came in yesterday, her mast cell tumor was a Grade 2 low. Being responsible for a friends health, one who can’t speak in a way thats always easy for me to hear is a unique burden. Today I feel the weight of making a choice for another life.

After talking to a few veterinarians that I trust, the path we’re traveling is to monitor her lymph nodes often with monthly vet check ins.

My nature is to read everything I can find. To look around the entire idea, to ask how my friends see it. And to read more than my fair share of peer reviewed papers. The research shows that only 11% of grade 2 low tumors metastasize.

For now this is our peace and we’re grateful for this day we’ve been given ✨
