Atsuta-jingu Shrine(#熱田神社) is said to have been founded during Emperor Keiko’s rule, around 1,900 years ago??

Since then this shrine in #Nagoya(#名古屋) has been revered by all kinds of people, such as farmers, samurai and feudal lords. Atsuta-jingu enshrines the Kusanagi-no-tsurugi, a legendary sword that was awarded by the deity Amaterasu-omikami(#天照大御神).

Today, the shrine is home to many national treasures and is famous for its lucky spots. It is especially popular during the New Years season and in June, when the #AtsutaFestival(#熱田祭り) is held.
