Bogia’s proposal for a memorial to #Stonewall references the Stonewall Inn’s façade in its frame, while the colorful abstractions within indicate micro-moments of the riot itself: a high heel shoe, a cop’s hat, a fist. “A Sculpture for June 28. 1969” is just one of the artist proposals on view in our Fifth Floor gallery as part of @chrisevargas and #MOTHA’s “Consciousness Razing—The Stonewall Re-Memorialization Project.”
