When i was 17 i left high school early and rode on an #encounteroverland truck for about 6 months, from South Africa to the Central African Republic. This photo was taken in the Ituri rainforest in #Zaire, now the Democratic Republic Of Congo. I’d been hospitalized with malaria, and was still recovering. 1985.
