This is why we have so many cubs all the time. No one else in Mexico receives confiscated Big Felines in Mexico because they’re too expensive to keep and a zoo only has two or three Lions and two Tigers, not 100 of them. Again, good zoos worldwide are fundamental for the survival of some species, but here, they’re just a breeding place without any purpose at all. Why would I like to have tens of cubs all the time? It’s a super heavy job, my financials are public, so it is shown that it’s not a money issue. Also, it is known that 99.99 % of celebrities don’t donate, so it’s not a matter of them either. The real problem is this: Breeding facilities have to stop operating, whether they’re disguised as zoos or any other excuse.
