So I know I promised this like A WHILE AGO, but here are my clean and jerks from worlds! - - -130kg/286lb opener felt pretty nice. I think I was a little TOO relaxed and had sat for a good bit before, so it lacked a little bit of “oomph” and explosion. But overall yeah whatever typical opener feelin lift ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ - - -133kg293lbs second attempt felt the best. A little soft in the catch, but felt like just another training lift, which is always good when you’re feeling that second half of the comp energy drain. (The “ok almost done gotta snack myself to bring some adrenaline back”). I got a little impatient which made for a pretty “hippy” & not so leg driven clean that I did NOT like, but I adjusted immediately & overall liked how the weight felt. I definitely felt good for more a decent amount more.- - -137kg/301lbs 3rd attempt! The back room was HECTIC trying to figure out what was needed for potential medals, etc. & I was on ice waitin for whatever I was told to do. I honestly felt good for anything they put on the bar. Apparently my core was just ready to become pudding and that took about all the energy I had left to try to reset which left me on my toes trying to stand. I think had I caught it right, I would have had it! (Which is a nice thought even though it wasn’t there on that one) I’ve cleaned it before & I know I can do it again and then some! - - My comp minimums have been steadily increasing & I feel pretty comfy with them, so I’m pumped to have the opportunity to go for some bigger weights in the coming months! Going into worlds I wasn’t having the best time with c&js (or either lift LOL), so I’m also pumped to see what some technical fixes & strength gains will do!
