A winter snow storm is approaching the Sierra Nevada mountains near Mammoth mountain.
According to a new study from Scripps Institution of Oceanography: winter will still be coming to the Sierra Nevada mountain range, but winters will be becoming shorter, and disappearing earlier in the year, which could have implications for state water management and wildfire activity. This is particularly important for California, the most agriculturally-diverse state in the country and which experienced the worst wildfires on record in 2017 and 2018.
