We went to Ise Jingū. This sacred shrine consists of 125 shrines centering on the two main sanctuaries: Naiku and Geku. Naiku is dedicated to the goddess of the sun, Amaterasu-omikami. She is the supreme deity of the Shinto religion. Geku is dedicated to Toyouke Omikami, the deity who offers sacred food to Amaterasu-omikami. Anyway, Ise Jingū is treated as one of the most sacred in Japan.
