#callmebyyourname was my favourite film this year ( closely followed by #astarisborn, which made me fall in love all over again with the wonder that is @レディー・ガガ) and this monologue by @michaelstuhlbarg kept haunting me throughout #2018 .. no other movie this year was as emotionally devastating to me - I think what touched my most was the complete absence of even the slightest hint of cynicism- there was a degree of cynicism in so much of what happened in 2018 - this film wore its heart on its sleeve and then some #callmebyyourname #andreaciman @acimanandre #michaelstuhlbarg
