In a lot of ways I think school teaches us that it’s not ok a fail. Get good grade or else. I was a straight A student. I did everything by the books. I never broke the rules. The only test I ever failed was my first drivers test (which at the moment was utterly devastating to who I thought I was) I built my identity around being right and being successful... I’m also now terrified of failing... but new flash, to create anything meaningful I’m gonna have to get real good and comfortable with repeatedly failing, getting right back up and trying again!!! So with no further ado is here’s my mantra for the year... It’s ok to write a bad song... it‘s ok to write a bad song... it’s ok to write a bad song... let the creating begin!!!
