It’s great to see Europe blanketed in white, but unfortunately along with all of the recent snowfall in the French, Swiss and Austrian Alps, also comes high avalanche risk. In the last 10 days, over 20 deaths have been reported in Europe. That’s heartbreaking. January 5th marked the four-year anniversary of my teammates’ - @Bryce_astle and @ronnieberlack - tragic deaths in an avalanche at @soelden.official. The foundation created in their name - the @brassfoundation - recently created a powerful and educational short film about the risk we take when skiing off piste. The work BRASS is doing is so important, and I really urge you to watch and pay attention. The details of avalanche knowledge and safety often go undervalued or even unnoticed, and we have to change that. For our loved ones, for the entire snow sports community – we have to do everything we can to avoid any tragedy like this in the future.
