We join in pain and express our sympathy to the family and relatives of the tragically killed Paweł Adamowicz - the Mayor of the City of Gdansk @gdansk_official. This tragic event during the Sunday finale @fundacjawosp of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity on stage in Gdansk shocked us and plunged us into sadness.

The Polish Igers community was born in 2011 @igersgdansk in Gdańsk - a city of freedom and solidarity. The idea spread from Gdansk to the whole country and connected mobile photography enthusiasts. We could always count on cooperation with the Gdańsk City Hall to promote Gdansk’s known and less known attractions, places and events among residents and tourists. Thanks to suport we had a chance to host @igerslondon members and @philgonzalez @Instagramers in Gdansk and share with them our love to 1000 year old city by the Baltic Sea.

Openness and interest in the new media allowed us to spread our wings and radiate the Igers' idea to the whole of Poland. Gdańsk was lucky to have such a Mayor. Always smiling, full of energy and eager to listen. We will miss him. Rest in peace.
